I hope everyone is having a great summer! I know I am and I have enjoyed sharpening the saw this summer! Picture above was taken in Colorado this summer by one of my Scott photographers probably Syd because Spencer was probably too busy blazing the trail ahead of us - he likes to be the leader when we hike!
I would like to inform everyone of a few staff changes and introduce new staff members.
New staff members:
Elizabeth Silcox - 4th grade
I would like to inform everyone of a few staff changes and introduce new staff members.
New staff members:
Elizabeth Silcox - 4th grade
Mrs. Silcox comes to us from Johnson Elementary where she taught 2nd grade last year. Mrs. Silcox will be in 4th grade teaching math with the Campbell, Quillen, and Carter group. Mrs. Silcox actually started her teaching career at CES last year in 1st grade for the 1st 3 weeks of school while Mrs. Alice Johnson recovered from surgery. Mrs. Silcox will be in Mrs. Brown's old room.
Laine Owens - Kindergarten

We are excited to be able to bring Lanie back to CES this year. Laine completed her internship with us last year in 1st grade (Wise) & 4th grade (Broussard), filled in for us in SpEd when Mrs. West left and then finished out the year for us in K for Mrs. Brodie when she had her baby. Ms. Owens will teach K in Mrs. Brodie's old room.
Crystal Brazell - Lunchroom Manager

Crystal comes to us from Tanner High School where she served as lunchroom manager last school year and this summer for summer school.
Ashley Sinyard - Special Education Teacher - no pic yet
Ashley taught in Lauderdale County last year and is about to married and live in Madison. We are excited to have Ms. Sinyard on staff at CES. Ms. Sinyard will be taking Mrs. McRee's place who left for Johnson Elementary's preschool program.
Mike George - bus driver - no pic yet
Mr. George has been a bus driver for Athens City and has subbed in Limestone. Mr. George will drive bus 110. Ms. Nave moved to ELHS.
Changes:
3rd grade down to 8 units - will be departmentalized in teams of 2.
2nd grade down to 8 units
Kaitlyn Haley moved to Russellville and is teaching in Franklin County. Ms. Gray moved to her room.
Emily Brodie retired :) and Laine Owens will be in her room.
Terri Hill will now be teaching 1st grade (in same classroom).
Leslie Brown moved to Kindergarten in Sue White's room.
Kelley Hayes moved to Tracy Wilson's room.
Ashton McCaig moved to K in KHayes room.
Nanette Fairley is retiring (effective Oct 1). Her position is currently open and we hope to fill it at the next board meeting. Mrs. Fairley will be working in some capacity at CES or for LCS until Oct 1 - maybe as an intervention teacher for K,1,2 - not sure on this right now.
Mrs. Selfridge has moved to the old CNN media room.
Mrs. Mary Beth moved into Mrs. Selfridge's room.
Mrs. Adams moved into Mary Beth's office. This gives Mrs. Adam a lot of office space for meetings.
I am sure I have missed something.....I will probably edit this post at some point.
Thx and see everyone soon!
