I ran into Carrie Powless (former CES teacher) and her son.......also countless Creekside students! It was a fun evening and dry place to trick or treat with my family.

PTO meeting today @ 4:00!
Dr. Sisk will be our guest speaker. We will discuss the new building and celebrate the approval of our new section of campus!
We are planning on having a cake and refreshments. :)
We had a really nice crowd for the last PTO meeting. Thank you for supporting our PTO and CES.
Creekside Construction Update
The LCS BoE approved our building project this morning @ a special called board meeting!
First Team Construction Company from Auburn won the low bid on base bid and alternates.
We will get:
- Base bid - 22 classrooms, music room, front office and gym
- Rear parking lot behind the new gym
- Cafeteria expansion
- Front parking expansion
This is GREAT NEWS!!!
A HUGE thank you goes to our Superintendent, Dr. Tom Sisk, and our LCS Board Members!
The process to start actual construction will be about 1-2 months from now. There are contract procedures LCS will file with the construction company and the State Department.

Communicate
Teachers - please continue to communicate with your parents on a regular basis. Phone calls, personal meetings, emails, remind texts, blogs, or however you reach your parents.
Keep parents informed of daily, weekly and monthly events in your classroom and in our school.
I don't think we can ever communicate too much with our parents.
Boosterthon!
Boosterthon was a big success! If we collect 100% of our pledges we will make over $22,000 for CES! Please help and encourage your students to collect all pledges by this Friday (11/6).
How about an incentive? Every class that collects 100% can get a pajama day? Or a movie afternoon with popcorn? Just give me some feedback. Thx
Field Trips
Please make sure all field trips are on the calendar up front and all FT forms are filled out. Make sure you get with Mr. Taylor to be sure buses are lined up. Thx
Lunchroom
Teachers please go over expectations in the lunchroom with your students. We want to clean up after ourselves when we leave our lunch areas. Encourage students to take pride in their lunch table!
1/2 day PD
I think the 1/2 day PD was a big success last week. I really appreciate those who presented. I really felt like we accomplished a lot in a short amount of time. Thank you for all of your efforts on this day!
Veterans' Day program @ CES - 11/10/15
Mrs. Adams has done an outstanding job of preparing the CES Veterans' Day program. I want to thank her for all of hard work. Each class will have a guest speaker. Thank you Mrs. Adams!
