Encouragement - Over the last week or so I have met with several parents who are struggling to help their child be successful. One common thread in the meeting was the child just needed a little extra encouragement.
How can you help encourage your students?.....
......Believe in your students - take some time out today or sometime this week to make sure your students know that you believe in them. Sometimes students lack a positive role model at home and his/her only hope may lie in the hands of their teacher.
How do you let your students know you believe in them?
- Lots of smiling
- Lots of encouragement and "you can do it" statements
- Lots of support
- Lots of patience
- Lots of saying "I believe in you" to your students
