Sept 26 - Happy Friday!

Fall Break is just around the corner......can you feel it in the air in the mornings??  10 more school days (or something like that) :)

I hope everyone is off to a great start!  It has been a very busy beginning of the school year....but a good kind of busy.  

Thank all of you for your hard work!  A lot goes into planning and preparing for our kids and I want to commend everyone for doing such a great job.  Thank you!

I had so much fun yesterday going to the Special Ed Bowling Trip!  Thank you to all the teachers and aides who always make this trip such a fun day for everyone!

 
"The Seed"
I hope you have been able to sit and have some quiet time since school has started and you have had a little time to read "The Seed".

"The Seed" will help you find your purpose.  I really feel we all have a purpose here every day and when I say "here" - I just don't mean at CES.  We all have an impact on our school culture and on our own families - whether it is a positive or a negative impact.  The level of passion we bring to school every day also drives our purpose.  How we raise our passion level at school every day will effect not only our performance but it will effect everyone around us.

Just a few quotes from the first few chapters:

p. 3 - "If we don't have  passion, then we are just like everyone else - mediocre."

p. 8 - "Purpose is our ultimate guidance system that provides us with direction for our lives.  Purpose fuels us with passion, and this passion gives us confidence and vitality to go after our dreams.

CES PTO

We had a very good crowd at our last PTO meeting on September 8th.  I am very excited about this school year and our positive PTO partnership.  We are truly blessed by a hard-working and giving PTO.  I am always thankful for all the time our parents volunteer to help support and provide for our school  Please try to attend the PTO meetings if you can to show your support of our PTO.

Thank you for all the "little things" you do every day which go unnoticed and go without thanks.

Too many times we find ourselves becoming bogged down by a few negative experiences we have in a school day.  Too many times we allow 1 negative issue to bring us down and destroy a great day.  I am very guilty of this.  This past week or 2 when I have found myself bogged down by negativity I have just found a classroom and enjoyed teachers teaching and students learning.  So don't always think I am coming in for an observation when I pop in....think of it as my way of just enjoying the school day and to remind myself of my purpose.  

When you feel negativity bringing you down....remind yourself of your purpose and let your purpose fuel your passion!
