Today is Tuesday, June 29th.....wow! Where did June go??
I hope everyone has had an epic summer so far and everyone is "Sharpening the Saw" in some form or fashion.
My family and I have had a lot of fun and we have traveled a little but it has been great to just spend time together.

Construction Video Update - 6-23-16
------
Changes for next year are taking place and I wanted to update everyone.
4th grade is loosing a unit.
3rd grade is loosing a unit.
2nd grade is gaining a unit.
1 Reading Coach unit lost.
Mrs. Kim is moving back to 1st grade. Mrs. Kim will moving to Mrs. Sisk's room vacated by her retirement.
Mrs. Silcox will be teaching Kindergarten in Mrs. Kim's old room.
Also, Mrs. Pride will move into Mrs. Silcox's room to teach 4th grade.
Mrs. Michelle Mitchell will be work at East Limestone 1/2 time.
Mrs. Judy Palmer will be working at Elkmont 1/2 time.
Mrs. Hilbert and Ms. Greene will be moving into 2nd grade spots vacated by the retirement of Mrs. Carter and Ms. Goff.

Mrs. Trockenbrot will be our new Reading Coach and she will remain in the RC room.
Mrs. Hill is moving back to 3rd grade. With Mrs. Trockenbrot leaving her 3rd grade position, this position opened back up. Mrs. Hill volunteered last summer to move down to 1st when we lost a unit.
Mrs. Heather Thompson (formerly Ms. Crawford) is coming back to Creekside!! Mrs. Thompson will teach 1st grade in Mrs. Trockenbrot's room. We also want to congratulate Mrs. Thompson on her recent marriage to Britt Thompson.

Mrs. Perry will be moving to 2nd grade. 2nd grade will now have 9 units. Mrs. Perry will just stay in her room to teach 2nd grade.
With construction changes, 4 of our 5th grade teachers will be moving inside the building. Mrs. Lacy, Mrs. Davis, Mrs. Newton & Mrs. Skarp will be in the building on the old 5th hall.

Skarp - room next to Pride
Davis - room next to Leadership room (actually this is Mrs. Davis' old 5th grade room).
Mrs. Melanie Perry (from Career Tech) will be our new gifted ed teacher - on campus - no more buses! She will be moving into a portable (TBD).
When the new school is finished the 3rd grade hall be vacated by all of 3rd grade and then that hall will become the extra unit hall.
Mr. Allen Porter is our new custodian. Mr. Porter has been a custodian at Oakwood University for the last several years before coming to CES.

Hallway cleaning schedule:
K & 1 are finished (A-Wing).
Front office entrance is through A-Wing (1st grade door).
2nd grade is closed now (north-B-Wing).
Moving to C-Wing next.....then D-Wing & Gym & Portables.

I will be off campus next week. I will be attending the National Elementary Principal's conference in Washington, DC. I am very excited to attend this conference!
I am serving on 2 national panels this year at the conference and also I will be presenting - pray all goes well!
I will be back on July 11th but will take some vacation days with my family on 12, 13, & 14th.
